2021 Was Insane, But I’m Still Thankful!

There was a time when I believed the madness of 2020 could not be topped, but here strutted in 2021 kicking off with the MAGA domestic terrorist coup attempt of the Capitol on January 6th during the certification of the election of President Joe Biden.

As the year went on almost the entire Republican Party and some “leftists” like Mr. Glenn “Mr Hordes of Immigrants Coming Over The Border” Greenwald (his words, not mine) were trying to downplay an insurrection unfolding on TV as we watched.

The few Republicans who condemned the insurrection were labeled Republicans In Name Only (RINOs), traitors, and were censured or expelled from the party. We can see that the Republican Party is no longer a party of diverse ideas but is now the personality cult of Trump and the Moderate Republican is going the way of the dodo bird.

Then 2021 just came on back for more and more. Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema held Biden’s agenda hostage with their pockets filled with coal and pharmaceutical lobbying money.

The Coronavirus epidemic raged while we fought over mask and vaccine mandates, as the unvaccinated fueled a massive second wave. America has lost nearly 800,000 lives to the Coronavirus as of the writing of this Medium post, making it the leading cause of death in September of 2021.
