Well I think we all saw the sh*tshow of the past week when mortgage lender Better.com CEO Vishal Garg laid off 900 workers via Zoom and died a little inside when he claimed
“This is the second time in my career I’m doing this and I do not — do not want to do this,” he said in the Zoom call which was leaked and shared online. “The last time I did it, I cried. This time I hope to be stronger.”
I seriously doubt a man who called his employees “Lazy dolphins” “almost cried” when he laid them off.
“You are TOO DAMN SLOW. You are a bunch of DUMB DOLPHINS… SO STOP IT. STOP IT. STOP IT RIGHT NOW. YOU ARE EMBARRASSING ME”
Nor does it jive with what he said the week before on a separate call on those who were not laid off, and said he would be monitoring their productivity closely
“You guys know that at least 250 of the people terminated were working an average of 2 hours a day while clocking in 8 hours+ a day in the payroll system?” he wrote. “They were stealing from you and stealing from our customers who pay the bills that pay our bills. Get educated.”
